Preparation

Dal ko Bhigo kar Pakana:

Sabse pehle, Toor Dal ko ache se dhoke 15-20 minutes ke liye pani mein bhigo dein. Isse dal jaldi pakti hai aur achi tarah se soft ho jati hai.

Phir is dal ko pressure cooker mein dal kar, 2-3 cup pani aur thoda sa haldi daal kar 3-4 seeti lagayein, taki dal achi tarah se gal jayein.

Tadka Tayyar Karna:

Ek kadahi mein tel garam karein. Jab tel garam ho jaye, to usme rai aur jeera daal dein. Jab yeh chhatakne lagein, tab usme finely chopped pyaaz daal kar bhunein.

Pyaaz ko golden brown hone tak bhunein aur phir usme ginger-garlic paste daal kar ek minute tak bhunein taki raw smell chali jaye.

Masale aur Tomato Add Karna:

Ab is tadke mein chopped tomatoes aur slit green chillies daal kar ache se mix karein. Tomatoes ko tab tak pakayein jab tak woh soft aur mushy na ho jayein.

Iske baad, isme haldi powder aur lal mirch powder daal kar ek minute tak bhunein taki masale ka raw taste chala jaye.

Dal aur Nariyal Add Karna:

Ab is masale wale tadke mein cooked dal ko daal dein aur ache se mix karein. Is mixture ko ache se milane ke baad, isme grated fresh nariyal daal kar ache se mix karein.
