Instant Pot Dal Makhani Recipe: Ek Asaan Aur Tasty Hinglish Recipe

2 green chilies, slit

1 cup tomato puree

1/2 tsp haldi powder (turmeric powder)

2 tsp red chili powder

2 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 cup fresh cream

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander, for garnish

Preparation:

Soaking the Dal and Rajma: Sabse pehle, urad dal aur rajma ko raat bhar ya kam se kam 8 ghante ke liye paani mein bhigo dein. Yeh step zaroori hai kyunki isse dal aur rajma soft ho jate hain aur jaldi cook ho jate hain.

Cooking the Dal and Rajma: Soaked dal aur rajma ko Instant Pot mein daalein aur 4 cups paani add karein. Instant Pot ko 'Pressure Cook' mode pe 30 minutes ke liye set karein. Jaise hi cooking complete ho jaye, natural pressure release hone dein. Yeh process dal aur rajma ko perfect tenderness dega.

Making the Masala: Ab Instant Pot ko 'Sauté' mode pe set karein. Butter aur oil add karein. Jaise hi butter melt ho jaye, finely chopped pyaz add karein aur golden brown hone tak sauté karein. Phir adrak, lehsun aur green chilies add karein aur 2-3 minutes tak sauté karein.

Tomato Puree Add Karein: Ab tomato puree add karein aur ache se mix karein. Isse 5-7 minutes tak sauté karein, ya jab tak oil mixture se separate na ho jaye. Isse gravy ka rich flavor milega.

Spices Add Karein: Ab haldi powder, red chili powder, coriander powder aur cumin powder add karein. Sab spices ko ache se mix karein aur 2-3 minutes tak sauté karein.

Dal Aur Rajma Mix Karein: Pressure cooked dal aur rajma ko is masala mixture mein add karein. Achhe se stir karein taki sab kuch ache se mix ho jaye. Ab salt taste ke according add karein.

Simmer and Cream: Instant Pot ko 'Slow Cook' mode pe 30 minutes ke liye set karein. Yeh step dal ko aur bhi flavorful aur creamy banata hai. 30 minutes ke baad, garam masala aur fresh cream add karein aur ache se mix karein.

Garnish: Dal Makhani ko fresh coriander leaves se garnish karein aur hot serve karein.

Tips:

Soaking Time: Dal aur rajma ko raat bhar bhigone se unki cooking time kam ho jati hai aur wo evenly cook hote hain.

Butter and Cream: Agar aap health conscious hain, toh butter aur cream ki quantity kam kar sakte hain. Par original Dal Makhani ka taste butter aur cream se hi aata hai.
