Ingredients:
1 cup dhuli masoor dal
3 cups paani
1 medium pyaz, finely chopped
1 medium tamatar, finely chopped
2-3 hari mirch, slit
1 inch adrak, grated
4-5 lasan ki kaliyan, chopped
2 tbsp ghee ya tel
1 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp rai (mustard seeds)
1/2 tsp haldi powder
1 tsp lal mirch powder
1 tsp dhaniya powder
Salt, swadanusar
Hara dhaniya, finely chopped for garnish
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Method:
Dal Ko Dhona Aur Pakana:
Pehle dhuli masoor dal ko ache se dhoke, use 15-20 minutes ke liye bhigo dein. Ek pressure cooker mein, 3 cups paani daal kar, bhigi hui dal ko add karein. Haldi aur namak milayein. Cooker ka dhakkan band kar, 2-3 seeti aane tak medium flame par pakaein. Cooker ka pressure apne aap nikalne dein, fir dal ko mash kar ke alag rakh dein.
Tadka Taiyaar Karna:
Ek kadahi mein ghee ya tel garam karein. Jeera aur rai daal kar tadka lagayein. Jab yeh chutputane lage, tab lasan aur adrak add karein. Inhe halka bhura hone tak bhun lein.
Pyaz Aur Tamatar Bhunna:
Ab finely chopped pyaz ko tadke mein daal kar, golden brown hone tak bhunein. Iske baad hari mirch aur tamatar daal kar, tamatar soft hone tak pakaein. Lal mirch powder aur dhaniya powder add karein aur achhe se mix karein.
Dal Ko Tadka Mein Add Karna:
Ab cooker mein paki hui dal ko tadka wale mixture mein daal dein. Ache se mix karein aur agar dal zyada gaadhi lag rahi ho to thoda paani add kar sakte hain. Dal ko 5-7 minutes ke liye sim par pakaein taaki sab flavours achhe se mix ho jayein.
