Ghee (Clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
Water (Paani) - 3 cups
Preparation (Taiyari)
Dal Ko Dhona Aur Bhigona: Arhar dal ko ache se dho lein aur 30 minutes ke liye pani mein bhigo dein. Isse dal jaldi galti hai aur cooking time kam hota hai.
Dal Ko Pakana: Bhigi hui dal ko pressure cooker mein 3 cups pani aur haldi dal kar 3-4 seeti tak pakayein. Dhyan rahein, flame medium ho.
Method (Vidhi)
Tadka Tayyar Karna: Ek kadahi mein ghee garam karein. Isme jeera aur rai daal kar crackle hone dein. Phir hing daal kar ek pal ke liye bhun lein.
Masala Pakana: Ab isme chopped garlic aur ginger daal kar light golden brown hone tak bhunein. Phir pyaaz daal kar translucent hone tak fry karein. Pyaaz jab soft aur pink ho jaye, tab isme tamatar daal kar achi tarah mix karein aur soft hone tak cook karein.
Masalon Ka Tadka: Tamatar soft hone par lal mirch powder daal kar achi tarah se mix karein. Ab isme cooked dal daal kar mix karein aur 5-7 minutes tak simmer hone dein taki sab flavors achi tarah se mix ho jayein.
Final Touch: Dal mein namak daal kar achi tarah mix karein. Ab slit green chilies aur chopped dhaniya daal kar dal ko garnish karein.
