Khatta Moong Dal Recipe

Method:

Moong Dal ko Prepare Karein:

Pehle moong dal ko ache se dho lein aur 15-20 minute ke liye pani mein bhigo dein. Isse dal jaldi galti hai aur soft banti hai.

Ek cooker mein soaked dal, haldi aur 2 cups pani daal kar 3-4 seeti laga lein. Pressure ko apne aap release hone dein aur dal ko halki se mash kar lein.

Tadka Banayein:

Ek kadahi ya pan mein oil ya ghee garam karein. Jab oil garam ho jaye, to usme sarson ke beej daal dein. Jab ye crackle hone lage, tab jeera, hing aur hari mirch daal dein.

Ab finely chopped tomato daal kar ache se bhun lein jab tak tomato soft aur mushy na ho jaye.

Dal aur Imli ka Ras Milayein:

Bhune hue tomatoes mein mashed moong dal daal dein. Ache se mix karein aur isme tamarind pulp, red chili powder, grated jaggery aur salt daal dein.

Is mixture ko 5-7 minute tak ache se pakne dein taaki sab flavors ache se blend ho jaye. Agar dal zyada thick lage to thoda pani aur mila sakte hain.

Garnishing aur Serve:

Gas band karne se pehle freshly chopped coriander leaves dal dein aur mix karein.
