Chana dal

Chana dal ek bahut hi popular aur healthy dal hai jo har Indian kitchen mein payi jaati hai. Ye protein, fiber aur essential nutrients se bharpoor hoti hai. 

Is simple chana dal recipe mein hum aapko batayenge kaise aap ghar par asaani se tasty aur nutritious chana dal bana sakte hain.

Ingredients:

1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)

3 cups paani (water)

1 medium pyaz (onion), finely chopped

2 tamatar (tomatoes), finely chopped

2-3 hari mirch (green chillies), slit

1 inch adrak (ginger), finely chopped

4-5 lasan ki kali (garlic cloves), finely chopped

1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)

1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric powder)

1 tsp lal mirch powder (red chili powder)

1 tsp dhania powder (coriander powder)

1/2 tsp garam masala

Namak swad anusar (salt to taste)

2 tbsp tel (oil) ya ghee

Hara dhania (fresh coriander leaves) for garnish

Instructions:

1. Chana Dal Ko Bhigona (Soaking the Dal):

Sabse pehle, chana dal ko ache se paani mein dho lein. Uske baad, ise 1-2 ghante ke liye paani mein bhigo dein. Bhigni se dal soft ho jaati hai aur jaldi pak jaati hai.

2. Dal Ko Pakana (Cooking the Dal):

Ek pressure cooker mein bhigi hui chana dal aur 3 cups paani daal kar, 2-3 seeti tak paka lein. Jab pressure cooker ka pressure nikal jaye, dal ko achhe se mash kar lein taki dal creamy aur smooth ho jaye.

3. Tadka Tayaar Karna (Preparing the Tempering):

Ek kadhai ya pan mein tel ya ghee garam karein. Jab tel garam ho jaye, usme jeera daal kar, ise thoda sa bhun lein. Phir lasan, adrak aur hari mirch daal kar, inhe 1-2 minute tak bhun lein jab tak ye golden brown na ho jaye.

4. Pyaz Aur Tamatar Ka Masala (Onion and Tomato Masala):

Ab isme finely chopped pyaz daal kar, ise translucent hone tak bhun lein. Phir chopped tamatar daal kar, ise tab tak pakaein jab tak tamatar soft na ho jaye aur tel alag na ho jaye. Is process mein aapko lagbhag 5-7 minute lagenge.

5. Masale Aur Dal Ko Milana (Mixing Spices and Dal):

Jab tamatar aur pyaz ka masala achhe se pak jaye, isme haldi, lal mirch powder, aur dhania powder daal kar, 2-3 minute tak bhun lein. Phir pressure cooker mein paki hui chana dal ko is masale mein daal kar, achhe se mix kar lein.

6. Dal Ko Simmer Karna (Simmering the Dal):

Dal ko masale mein mix karne ke baad, isme namak daal kar, 5-10 minute tak medium flame par simmer karne dein. Isse dal ka saara flavour ekdum perfect ho jayega. Agar dal zyada thick ho jaye to aap thoda paani aur daal sakte hain.

7. Garam Masala Aur Hara Dhania (Final Touch):

Gas band karne se pehle, dal mein garam masala powder daal kar, achhe se mix kar lein. Phir hara dhania se garnish kar ke serve karne ke liye tayaar kar lein.

Serving Suggestions:

Simple chana dal ko garam-garam chawal ya roti ke saath serve karein. Aap ise achaar aur papad ke saath bhi enjoy kar sakte hain. Ye dal ek healthy aur satisfying meal hai jo sabhi ko pasand aayegi.

Tips:

Dal ko ache se bhigoyen taki wo soft aur creamy bane.

Dal mein tadka lagate samay masalon ko achhe se bhun lein taki dal ka taste aur bhi badh jaye.

Dal ko simmer karte waqt agar zaroorat ho to thoda aur paani daal kar consistency adjust kar sakte hain.

Hara dhania dal mein fresh flavour aur color add karta hai, isliye ise garnish zaroor karein.
