1 tbsp dhania powder (coriander powder)

1 tbsp garam masala

Salt to taste

For Garnish:

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Lemon wedges

Fresh cream (optional)

Preparation

Step 1: Dals aur Bali ko Bhigo Kar Rakhna

Sabse pehle, sare dals aur bali ko ache se dhoke raat bhar ke liye paani mein bhigo kar rakh dijiye. Agar aapke paas time kam hai, to inhe kam se kam 4-5 ghante bhi bhiga sakte hain.

Step 2: Pressure Cooking

Ek pressure cooker mein, bhigi hui dals aur bali daal kar, 5-6 cups paani add karen. Ismein thoda sa namak aur haldi daal kar cooker ka dhakkan band karen aur 5-6 seetiyan aane tak cook karen. Isse dals aur bali ache se gal jayenge.

Step 3: Tadka Taiyaar Karna

Ek bade pan ya kadhai mein ghee garam karen. Ghee garam hone par ismein jeera aur rai daalen. Jab ye splutter hone lagen, tab hing add karen. Iske baad, chopped onions ko add karen aur onions ko golden brown hone tak fry karen. Phir ginger-garlic paste aur green chilies ko add karen aur kuch seconds ke liye bhun lein.

Step 4: Masala Taiyaar Karna

Pressure cooker ka dhakkan khol kar, cooked dals aur bali ko masale wali kadhai mein daalen. In sabko ache se mix karen aur agar zarurat lage to thoda paani aur add kar sakte hain. Isse slow flame par 10-15 minutes tak sim karen taaki saari flavors ache se mix ho jayein.

Step 6: Garnishing aur Serving

Bali Dal ko serving bowl mein nikal kar fresh coriander leaves se garnish karen. Aap ispar thoda fresh cream bhi daal sakte hain agar aap creamy texture pasand karte hain. Isse lemon wedges ke sath serve karen.
